March 2026 - Quality of Life Update
Just a few minor updates this month to add some quality of life updates.
March Updates!
Overhaul of the story generation
Story generation at Daily Adventure isn't something we set up once and left alone. There's a whole system behind it (rules, automations, safety rails) and every few months we sit down, run the output through a set of scoring metrics, and decide if it's good enough. It rarely is. Our standards keep creeping up, and that's how we want it.
In March we did a full overhaul. One of the bigger changes was extending story length by around 20%. Turns out the stories needed a bit more room to find their flow.
We really like the improvements, and they're the first we've made to StoryGen in 2026.
Play Next Updates
Play Next, the feature that kicks in at the end of your Morning and Bedtime routines, now lets you pick from your full Yoto library, not just MYO cards. So if you want to hand off to a purchased card when the routine ends, you can.
We've also added a stop time. If your Play Next card is a 16 hour Harry Potter audiobook and you need everything off by 9pm, that's now a setting.
Bedtime Fix
We had a bug affecting existing users that was preventing the Bedtime routine from being enabled and set up. That's now fixed. If you were hitting a wall trying to get it going, give it another try.
Morning Routine
You can now choose how many songs play each morning, anywhere from 1 to 5. Previously it was a fixed 5 tracks, randomly selected. If you're already set up it'll stay at 5 by default, but you can change it any time at dailyadventure.io/greeting.
Download Your Stories
You can now download the audio from your old morning routines over at dailyadventure.io/stories. Worth noting they include the full routine (greeting, weather and so on) rather than just the story on its own, so you'd need to cut it out if you wanted to use it separately. We only show routines where the audio was actually generated.
Family Sharing
You can now invite another family member to access your Daily Adventure account, so they can view or manage things alongside you. Head to dailyadventure.io/family to get started.
A few things worth knowing. The person you invite needs a Yoto account to sign in. You can add them as Full Access, which lets them change settings and generate stories, or View Only if you just want them to be able to browse. Invites expire after 7 days if they haven't been accepted.
If you're already using Yoto's family sharing this works nicely alongside it.
